I have been waiting three weeks now, almost four. They must be here soon.


It's my birthday in october, and both my mum and my friend in sweden are both giving me a doll for my collection of BJDs.

From my mum I'm getting Tatiana from Iplehouse, and from my friend I'm getting a female Lahoo from Dream of doll.

Isn't it just incredibly sweet of my mum and my friend to give me such dolls for my birthday? I hardly believed my ears when they told me two days apart that they wanted to give me such dolls... i'm still amazed. And I'll treasure them for ever.

RAchel, that is exactly what i think too.

as grown ups we buy what we need when we need it so it leaves us little to wish for, for our birthdays and christmases. i've always wanted to just wish for dolls but never dared to. this year I said i wished for money from everybody so i could buy a doll for my collection - with the result that two of them bought me a whole doll instead, which really made me cry.

i wish for others to experience the same thing.

i can hardly wait for the dolls to get here so i can dress them, give them face-up and take pictures.

Oh Karina I'm so happy for you!

I have bit the bullet and declared birthdays mothers days and christmases are all dolly zones to me now!

Everyone but one daughter has been okay about it....and she is the one who struggles the most to accept my dolls.

She has jokingly (I fervently hope!) said she may suggest to her 5 year old daughter that it might be funny to draw moustaches on my babies in felt pen...and the thing is my granddaughter would do it too

I'm introducing a ban on felt pens at our house

it was difficult for me to chose which one, but ended with a femal lahoo. i think the face is way too feminine to be a boy.

I can't wait for them to arrive...phew. patience is not my best side.
