This head had been sitting on my desk for AGES... It was a peacefully sleeping face that was cute but had nothing exceptional about it...and I hadn't baked it.
I picked it up yesterday thinking I could use the clay for something else but when I took off the plastic bag (that keeps away dust) I thought I could play around with it for a bit... and I did.
He went from a dull peacefully sleeping babies to this... a little newborn grump!
I found this picture in a magazine about pregnancy and birth and I loved the expression with the wrinkly chin and all.
He is still a face only a mother could love and not everyone's cup of tea... he will not fit into just any collection, I know, but he is truly special in the sense he is very unique...
If you are that kind of collector, that has pretty much every other expression at least twice and you are looking for something realistic and unique, Lewis is your guy. He will be about 20" when done.
You are welcome to have a cuddle with him at the Peterborough show!!
Please note I have yet to color his face completely, his cheeks are not blushed :)
Hugs
TIna
