I'm having a MacMillan Coffee Morning tomorrow, and I wish you could all come. It would have been my parent's 44th wedding anniversary tomorrow, so I'm holding it in memory of my mum, who died in April, with wonderful hospice care at home. Also a friend of ours in the village - who got married in June with no apparent health problems - is now dying of cancer at home supported again by wonderful nursing staff.

Ahh Kathryn what a great idea!! I'm not going to be able to pop in as I have friends round for coffee myself (my old antenatal group with all their babies) but very best of luck with this and I'm sure you'll have lots of friends "popping in" for coffee. Who knows, maybe that's when Mika will make her entrance!!

I made delicious flapjack today and it was nearly disasterous as i didn't realise I'd run out of golden syrup!! I used honey instead (after asking me neighbour if she had golden syrup which she didn't!). The flapjack is scrummy and I have bought a cake from the farm shop as well for my coffee morning guests tomorrow. They are all breastfeeding little babies so eat lots of cake!!

We raised at least £70 I have a few people who are sending donations (thankyou so much) and a lady who works in our Post Office is giving me one next week, so I should raise around £80 - which is fantastic!!!

Well done!! I was at a Coffee Morning (this afternoon!!) at our local nursery. My mum's friend's little grandaughter goes to the nursery so I went with my mum and some of her friends. As well as getting coffee and cakes, the kids sang for us, it was so sweet!! They're only 3 and have just been at nursery for 6 weeks, they did so well!! It was very weird for me being back at the nursery as it is the one I went to when I was little, and I also did a work placement there when I was 16 - so it's 16 years since I was last there!!!
