I know how you feel catherine, i have been through this a lot myself. I once had an order for twin ashton drake babies she wanted all sorts of stuff too like birth anouncements, the boxes wrapping in baby wrapping paper, hospita bands and all kinds of stuff. I didnt mind because thats what a custom order is all about but it cost me about £250 to buythe dolls and all the stuff to make them, then i had an email saying they wanted the deposit back due to some family emergency so i was well out of pocket there.
I only take orders now with a none refundable deposit of enough to buy the kit etc, its not nice but i just got to a point where i just had to do it.
I have one regular customer who when she orders a baby she pays in FULL at time of order so she knows its paid for.
if i was you i would start and ask for a deposit, since i have been doing that i havent had any problem.

Thanks Mandy I did ask for a deposit so I at least have the price of the kit which I did say was non refundable but I don't think i'd get the £300 we agreed on off ebay somehow , I just hope i'll hear something soon as on top of everything with my husband being ill I just don't need it and am finding it quite upsetting.

yes it is the same lady who wanted the memorial baby and this is the kit she finally decided on , I think that is what I am finding so odd that she has suddenly cut contact from being in touch so much .
