Can anyone tell me where I can get the wood for the walls and base, I have tried places like Jewson and hardware shops but they only do the slighter thicker pieces, one place only sold it 8ft by 4ft, and they wouldn't even cut it. dollchitchat/confused0068.gif
I decided to copy the main house with the same wood. but where do I get it from?? dollchitchat/AddEmoticons12628.gif Please dollchitchat/smilie_help.gif

Hi Avril...
New here..
I don't have a dollhouse, but always wanted a Victorian candy stop..at least 3-4 rooms
to hold chocolates, candies, cakes, & a tea room.
I see many lovely dollhouses of many varieties online, but where do you find large store fronts?
Do you know anyone who sells kits...or could customize one for me?
ALso..who sells beautiful reasonably priced mini sweets..I found the miniature cake shop UK on ebay..& that is really nice work! looking for more!
Thanks & Hugs Kim

Hi Kim..
I made a lot of the cakes and sweets etc I have in my store using fimo ..
It is so easy to work with and you can create some really great looking items..
My store is a Sid Cooke Empire store ..I bought it as a kit..I also have another Empire Stores which is already built and waiting to be worked on..
you can check out his site here..
http://www.sidcooke.co.uk/
You can check out other sites here at DCC in the Doll Artists and retailers section..
There is quite a variety of stores available which would be perfect for your idea..
good luck..

Hugs
