Okay, I know somebody had asked a question somewhat similar to this, but I'm just curious how much heat can a silicone stand? How hot can they get before they start to damage? I like to take my babies with me when I go out, and it terrifies me to have them in the hot car in the sun. My fiance keeps telling me that they should be fine and should be able to handle a few hundred degrees before melting or anything, but I just wanted to ask those of you experienced with silicones to be sure that it will be okay.... Thanks in advance!

I don't think you need to worry about that sort of heat, we often use a hair dryer to dry paint,

Hi, heat shouldnt damage the silicone at all, it is a very robust material and can withstand quite a lot (I have this on the authority of the chap who delivers mine and he has worked with rubbers and silicone all his working life) There is no reason why you shouldnt take your baby out with you in the car. Having said that I cannot vouch for it if it has had any additives added to it as I have only ever used pure platinum cure silicone

I use a sanding file, it has emery attatched to it and sand it off the head, its soooooooooo much quicker,

I'm sorry to say that there is nothing you can use to magically get it off, sanding is the best way to do it but it is a bit messy and will take you a while to do, however you can get quite a good result this way, Carol

Hi Suzi
I make Reborns, and am just getting interested in silicone dolls ( soon to be addicted I think) and wondered if you could recommend any suppliers of kits to make them?
I have looked at the Rubert doll kits which are lovely.
Many Thanks
