Hi Girls
Could you say a little prayer for Barney please( he belongs to Simons elderly mum)...he is very seriously ill...
We are waiting on the blood -*test*-('")s at the moment..
He has suddenly stopped eating..and has gone down fast..
He went to the vets yesterday..and she gave him an Antibiotic and fluid under the skin as he was dehydrated...but he didn't pick up..

Simon has been there with him for 48 hours...(as Simon's mum is in a nursing home at the moment..there is no one there at her house to be with Barney..Simon goes in a couple of times a day to feed him and look after him and play with him..)..so he is still at his mums house with him..and he is very worried..

Simon took him back to the vets first thing this morning and the vet gave Barney a steroid injection to try to pick him up and get him to eat to get some strength..
They took some blood from him...but the vet warned it doesn't look to good for him.
Barney is such a beautiful old cat...we love him so much..
So girls...please keep this little black cat in your thoughts and prayers..

Oh no! I know the pair of you are big animal lovers.
Will keep my fingers crossed for this poor kitty...but I'm sure you know elderly pets of elderly ill (in this case absent...through no ones' fault I hasten to add) owners, often decide to give up.
It's sad but does happen . My hubbie's Uncle died and his cat wasn't even old but stopped eating and faded away.

I really hope this kitty recovers.

Poor Barney passed away this afternoon in Simons arms...
Simon is very emotional...we both are..
Simons mum went into hospital last year in November and hasn't been home since..
Please forgive us if we are not around for a few days...

Sorry to hear he has died, its sad when they leave us, he will be in heaven now with all the other animals.

How terribly sad, I really feel for you both. At leasy Barney is at peace now and no longer suffering. It is lovely that Simon stayed with him to the end, that would have been so comforting for Barney xxxxxxx

My dear friends - I am so sorry for your loss, as I know how big the loss is to lose one's highly beloved cat or pet!!!! - I send all my loving thoughts to you and hope that sweet Barney was spared for a lot of suffering!!!
