I have a pair of really dark blue jeans, I don't really want to wash them as they look so nice and knowing my luck I will ruin them, but I am worried they will mark the resin.
Is it enough just to put a pair of stockings over the legs to protect them?
Also if the resin DOES get marks on, how do you get it off?
TIA

I've had a few dark marks left on my doll's resin from dark material. They easily came off with a gentle rub from a damp Mr. Clean Eraser sponge. I've never washed clothes because I'm afraid they won't look as good afterwards. I really don't worry about it because it was such an easy fix.

I tend to be wary of dark colours in clothes and shoes, I have some new jeans for my dolls and also a black dress and I think I'll at laest wash the dress before using it.
Mary is right though, the magic sponge does esaily remove marks but I'm not sure about the long term, if the clothes had been worn for a long time, because I don't do costume changes that often apart from on Sayuri.
I have almost nothing but dark clothes for my bjds and not one of them have been stained by their clothes so far. I think people worry about it a lot more then they have to jeans only usually stain when they get wet so just keep them on and keep them dry, if one of your bjds does get stained then I've heard that magic sponge works relly well at getting all stains off... Just typical that what you need isn't in this country!
A lot of people comment on dark wigs staining the bjds heads aswell but most of mine have black head caps even though not all of their hair is black and that hasn't stained either.
This is a common thing with pullips, thats why the manufacturer sometimes puts plastic around the limbs under the clothing so the clothing doesnt stain the body. I dont think we have ever tried to remove the stains from a pullip body, but again I have heard that the magic sponge will do it.

An alternitve to the mr sponge is the jml magic cleaning sponge(sold at woolies and pound strecher etc) or the flash ones. They are the same thing/idea but cheaper and easier to get.
Not all dark clothes stain but a good way to -*test*-('") is to dampen an area and rub it on paper to see if dye transfurs on to it. A pair of stockings should help stop staining but keep an eye on the resin just incase
