I sometimes feel a bit miffed that my family strongly resist buying me dolly related gifts
(they will give me money)
But I was thinking how thrilled I would be if they produced a baby outfit for example that they had chosen!

But though one daughters' tastes are similar to mine...the other daughter has the opposite taste in baby clothes. And my Hubbie? Don't even go there lol!

What do you think? Have you had successful gifts?

My family don't buy clothes for my dolls either, don't think I would like their tate of clothing. dollchitchat/addemoticons558.gif
Hubby and son wouldn't know what to buy for a doll, daughter isn't realy into dolls, but having a little girl her self would be able to buy a doll some clothes. dollchitchat/AddEmoticons12628.gif

Hubby would never buy one as a prezzie, he will let me choose an outfit and pay for it. and the kids would never buy a baby outfit for my dolly babies. dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07628.gif
But my mum and dad might do. especially my mum. and when I visit them mum will come look at the baby clothes with me and make suggestions. dollchitchat/AddEmoticons0762.gif dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07621.gif

I would be soo thrilled if anyone in my family bought something for my dolls that I wouldn't mind what it was!

If my mum or sis bought something, I think I'd like it as we have pretty similar tastes. dollchitchat/bearthrowingkisses.gif

My mum and sister arnt into dolls or clothes but mum does knit for me.
My son gave me a tkmaxx voucher for my birthday and that was spent on baby clothes, so i got to choose myself!

My bought a few things for me when I first got emily....but now she has her own reborns that I have done for her...
Simon thankfully has the same taste in baby clothes as I do and he often buys me little things for them if he goes out shopping on his own...
The last thing he got was a pair of pretty shoes for Charlotte..(the kit Simon has done with Cathy of Discover dolls)...but they were the wrong size...0-3months...I needed newborn...bless him...
He did say she would grow into them...
You have to wonder about him sometimes!!! dollchitchat/AddEmoticons12628.gif

dollchitchat/splodge.gif that was me hitting the floor in a dead faint................ I stand more chance of getting on the next space shuttle flight than my lot buying me anything doll related...........apart from black sacks to put them in for the tip dollchitchat/smilie_help.gif

I can't even imagine my Hubby picking out baby clothes...................I really do think that would be a disaster. dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07630.gif
Other family members would not even bother.................good thing I like to sew for my babies dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07635.gif .

dollchitchat/bigthink.gif Seems like it's the minority who have really doll friendly people around them

dollchitchat/vdaybouncies3.gif Glad I'm not on my own in that, but I agree a lot of the fun in doll collecting is picking out clothes for them, Bet most of us have got far too many clothes, my hubbie says his space comes a poor third behind me and the babies dollchitchat/3r.gif dollchitchat/3r.gif

My mother and grandmother have both knitted and bought items for my dolls. My mother even made two replicas of a cardigan she made for me when I was a newborn (I have the original).

The better half has been with me when I've been shopping for baby clothes and has made suggestions. He generally has great tastes. He has also paid for items that I have chosen. I just pout and he relents hahahaha.

My daughter will often pick reduced baby items up for me, and she absolutley hates my babies, but cant resist a bargain!! My mum and sister will pick up little hand knits from fairs and my sister will knit for me when shes bored. We do all have similar taste luckily - and thankfully none of them do lace, ribbons and bows, we all like the plainer simple styles. dollchitchat/vdaybouncies3.gif dollchitchat/AddEmoticons00950.gif dollchitchat/vdaybouncies3.gif
