Please could i ask people with slide shows as your siggies could you please change them.
They are slowing up posts and stopping threads from moving freely especially when 2 people with slide show sigs post one after the other.
Also some people have said that if they view a post with a slide show sig then it kicks them off.It's unfair for them.
Animated sigs like mine and peoples sparkly names are ok it is only these slide shows that are the problem.

I changed mine, sorry girls I didn't even realise they were a problem.

I have looked into this, and I know what the problem is with them. Due to them being hotlinked animations they take up a large chunk of bandwidth loading up, and each time there is a thread where a few people have them and have all posted a few times the first thing that forumer wants to load is the slideshows. I have noticed on other forums that the slideshows have been banned due to this same reason. I hope that explains a little more about the effect of the slideshows on threads.

I was having such major problems with these...
Although I loved seeing them..I was having to avoid peoples posts that I knew had these...as it just kept throwing me off the system and I was having to re-boot nearly everytime..
So thank you ladies...it is very kind of you to do this for all of the ladies that was having problems with these...

As wonderful as those all were-they def slowed down the thread and to some kicked them off the system-I can fully understand what all are saying about them and other forums stopping them-and ALREADY DCC has TRANSFORMED remarkably-Ive not ONCE had any trouble getting in!so it DEF has helped and if this could save DCC- well worth it!!

Well done Ladies to all who have removed them-we can always keep changing our siggies to refresh the pics-I do that now and it quite nice to see something different.

I was constantly getting an error message and when I finally could get on, it was slower than "snail mail" to click on something and then wait for it to appear (sometimes it never did)

It's good to know that it wasn't just me having problems with threads containing these. I thought it was because I'm still on "Dial Up". Not for much longer though. I'm changing to broadband very soon.

Some people are still using the slideshows and they are slowing down the moving around on the actual thread-getting out of it etc.....

Please....change to a Single siggie picture-Everyone on here Liz etc have worked so hard to get us up and running smoothly-still a few not done it yet?
