I am reborning a kit "Sweet Maria" and i cant get the eyelashes on, i made a right mess last night, i have wasted 2 pairs of eyelashes,preemione. I just cant get them right. She is opened eyed. I did a sleeping one before and had the same problem, but i dont think they look finished without eyelashes.I even bought some EZee lases tool at the show,ive seen it on a dvd, but still cant get them staight without seeing the sticky strip, and the glue where its sticking them together.IM FED UP!!!!!!!!! I could cry, I HATE DOING EYELASHERS!!!!!!!!!!

What are you using to glue them with?

My advice is to take the lash in very fine tweezers & nip your thumb & first finger over the gummy glue that was holding them in the plastic case...this should gently peel away from the lash.

Use Aileens tacky glue..its thick & dries clear. Use a cocktail stick & just get a tiny blob of glue on the end....carefully run it along the the rim of the eye where you need the lash to sit, leave it for a couple of mins, then run another thin line using the cocktailstick along the side of the lash you need to fit into the socket.

Using tweezers to hold the lash & a clean cocktail stick in the other hand, gently place the lash & push into position with the coctail stick. As long as you wait before trying to place the lash the tacky glue will hold it in place.

Once the lash is in position just gently push it with the cocktail stick to squeeze out any surplus glue...you can then use a cocktail stick to 'mop' up the extra glue, as it becomes more tacky it will gather on the tip of the cocktail stick.

After a few mins you can clean up any excess glue on the eyeball using a dampend cotton bud, (not very hygenic-but I touch it on my tongue, so it doesnt get overly wet!)

Dont get stressy about it....stay calm, like a lot of things it will come with practice, one day it will just fall into place & seem the most natural thing you have ever done!

Hi Jen, I did most of that, i havent got a very steady hand either,i used the cocktail stick and i followed instrutions out of the book i got from the show (free)
I use a hi tacky glue, they were selling it at the show,(in a brown bottle) The only lashes i have left are those long strips of lashes that you have to cut?. I knew i should have asked my hubby to do it, his hands are steadier. But i need to do it myself,like i do all the other stuff ok,(i think) I HATE EYELASHES!!!!!! Jeanxxxx

i need to do this too my junes came with out an eyelash i might just take her other one off and leave her with out but its might be fun to have a go :D

Jeanie, I am also having real problems putting eyelashes on Sweet Maria, I had also bought the strip, I think possibly the ready ones may be easier. I have also ruined most of the strip I had bought , don't think I will bother with that again. She still has no eyelashes. By the way I have decided to make her into a boy. Would love to see your when you have finished her. I am rather new to reborning so it is often trial and error love this site xxBeth
