I couldn't face packing my babies in boxes yet, so I headed for the garden (no rain today!)

Next door the neighbours from hell were arguing and smashing things (the racket later as they put the broken whatever in the bin!)

At one point in the middle of the row she came and asked for a hammer (the mind boggles...and no, we didn't give her a hammer!)

Me?
I moved some shrubs that didn't like where they were.
Did some deadheading
A bit of weeding
A bit of repotting

Heaven!

Don't know what it is, but your mind just wanders and time flies.........

And you come in grubby and ravenous.........

And your diet goes out of the window........

But you don't care 'cause you've 'worked off all those calories!'

Gardens are great, don't you agree?

Sorry Liz!
My thread did start off with the neighbours from hell dollchitchat/2.gif but was about how negative things can be overcome by good things (i.e. gardening!)

It's raining here now...but from a gardening point of view this is posotive for me today as it's bedding in the shrubs I moved dollchitchat/AddEmoticons0762.gif

Anyway.... gardening....the seaside and dollies are my happy places!

the only neg part is i dont like gardening my memorial garden for my baby (who incidently is buried in my garden) most certainly isnt a negative i love her special place and all her chimes and fairy orniments love the baby squirrels too

tixiepixi- 08-09-2008
Sharon how lovely that your beloved daughter is in your garden. That certainly is posotive and must be a comfort to have her so near. Gardens can be a lot of things...
A place for quiet reflection

A hectic playground! When our kids were young I wasn't so bothered about the garden being just so. My dad had me a fantastic swing made, just like my childhood one.
I sooo wish we'd kept it now for the grandchildren!

A source of food...lovely organic stuff.

A sanctuary for wildlife

Socialising...barbecues ect

Gardens mark the seasons

Goodness me I am going on a bit here eh?

I love your little memorial garden Sharon, thanks for sharing pics.
Squirrels are funny. We don't have any here but my daughter has lots in Caldy on the Wirral
(she goes through sacks & sacks of birdfood!)
