I thought I would introduce myself, I've been collecting dolls for about ten years now. I belong to two other doll forums, both USA based, this is a new treat for me.

My full name is Barbara Peranich, I live in the United States, a place called Scranton, PA. I am 60 years old, I married my high school sweetheart in 1969 and had our first daughter in 1970, our second and last daughter in 1974.

We have been blessed with four grandbaby boys, identical three year old twins, (we call them our monkeys!! ) their three month old baby brother, (a sweet surprise from God!! ) and an Angel brother (a triplet to the twins) in heaven.

I collect Zapfs, Gotz, GADCO, Himstedt, Ashton Drake, Richard Simmons Nana's Family, Lee Middleton (pre-China), and others that don't come to mind right now. They're living in their own nursery upstairs, in the room that used to belong to my older daughter. The week that she got married, I repainted, brought in a white Jenny Lind crib and matching furniture, a couple of white bassinets, and the rest is history.

Of course, my collection has spilled out into the rest of the house, too. Everyone who matters understands my obsession, and those who don't understand, don't matter.

I look forward to "meeting" you all and to seeing your lovely collections.

WOW Scranton eh? I have a good childhood friend that live in Scranton (they flooded really bad about a year ago, eh?). If i am ever in the neighborhood visiting, I will make sure to give you a ring so we can arrange a dolly linch or something. (ps I am from NJ originally but live in Atlanta now)

Where in Scranton does your friend live? Only certain sections of town flood, if my section floods, call Noah to start another ark! Scranton is very, very hilly, and I'm kind of far up a hill.
