I've never dealt with anyone on ebay this way before Marie but if you get your money first then it should be ok dollchitchat/AddEmoticons12628.gif

Myself i wouldnt do it ,you read so many horror stories about ebay these days .

Well ... If you were brave enough to do it

dollchitchat/angel_sm029.gif Id only sell to someone with lots of feedback and 100%

dollchitchat/angel_sm029.gif I would ask for a non refundable deposit to be paid within 5 days of the end of the auction

dollchitchat/angel_sm029.gif Id make them bid along with everyone else cos you may end up with someone else winning who will pay you outright

dollchitchat/angel_sm029.gif Then i would set terms when payments should be sent by

dollchitchat/angel_sm029.gif If they miss two payments then the sa,e is void you keep the deposit

dollchitchat/angel_sm029.gif If they pay it all off then you send item

It sounds easy enough but im like you i wouldnt do it on evil bay ... id do it on here .... cos i know most of you ...

The point of evil bay ..... and correct me if im wrong .... is that its an auction site .. you bid what you can afford or you dont bid .... you pay as soon as is required after winning ..... its not the co-op or a christmas hamper site .... so why ask to pay bit by bit??

I have and done and do offer layway on my reborns on ebay.
I read their feedback and if they are 100% I offer them a layway of 4 payments none refundable payments.
If they don't pay the 4 payments then I say I have the right to relist the reborn, to sell again.

Love Jules' answer dollchitchat/3r.gif

Personally I agree with her, it's one thing doing a layaway on here, or if you are a business, however on ebay, I personally wouldn't. If you decided to I'd do it in no more than three installments, one immediately (1/3 of price), non refundable, one in a month and one in two months.

I have done this for dolls that sold for $1000. I offered a 45 day layaway. It worked out just fine. But, that was a couple years ago. Now, with the new Ebay rules I'd think twice about it and proceed very cautiously.
