HI! Just starting here

my name is Joe I have been collecting Tonner dolls and Gene/Trent for about 2 years mainly for dressing. I was a costume designer for theater, Film and Tv for 35 years but I can't work in that field anymore because of a back injury. I also taught costume design in major universities accross the country. I've been patterning for actors all these years and started working with these dolls because they are a nice size. I started with Franklyn Mints' Lucy because I knew Lucille Ball personally and worked with her in the year and a half before she passed away. Having the doll around reminds me of her.
I have been smitten by Mr. Tonners dolls and have about 30 of them now mostly dressed in outfits I have designed myself. I have a store on E-bay where I sell my patterns and I do have a website devoted to these dolls take a look at some of my designs and find out a bit more about me and the Good Sister Mary Joseph at www.dollpatternbazaar.com I did do some porcaline dolls for awhile and have some of those in my collection as well.

Welcome to DCC. I used to have a Gene doll and sold her which I instantly regretted. I have a Ellowyne Wilde doll and would love to eventually add a repaint of Gene, Ello and Madra to my collection. I'll look forward to seeing your dolls and outfits dollchitchat/dccs.png
