Ah well I wouldnt pay that much for that size of baby .. thats for sure!!!

BUT this is a camille Allen we are talking about here and as you can see her work is very saught after and she is a very famous artist who has been around for years. I have always loved and admired her work ... if I ever had the chance to buy a piece of her work I would.

Yes I have watched her work for a long time now...I adore the eggshell babies.

However, as much as I love the work I cant really see anything remarkable about this tiny one & personally if I were to pay that kind of money for a doll, I would need one that fits in my arms rather than my palm! dollchitchat/4.gif Call me greedy, I just want a BIG baby for that money dollchitchat/2.gif

Yep I agree dollchitchat/2.gif

Well it's the same for tiny bears, the tinier they are, the more they seem to cost!! I once paid £85 for a tiny bear, bearing in mind this was 20 years ago, it was an awful lot of money, but I wanted the bear...

however, I personally don't see that this doll warrants that huge price, but I guess it's a buyer's market and the demand will dictate the price, good luck to her I say!!!

Blimey, I wouldn't pay that much ! In fact not sure I could justify £50 for something so small. I appreciate alot of work has gone into making them and as they are so small they are more intricate, fiddly etc but I just couldn't justify it.

It's a cute baby, but NO, I would definitely not pay so much for a dollhouse baby, no way!!!! dollchitchat/bearhugblinkie1.gif

redvelvet- 05-29-2008
No I wouldn't pay that much, I think Tina's and Yasmine's tiny babies are just a s good and at a fraction of the price. dollchitchat/pompomgirl.gif dollchitchat/pompomgirl.gif

dollchitchat/smilie_bauch.gif Lovely baby but no way would I pay that price for a 12th Scale baby no matter how stunning it looked. I haven't even paid that price for one of my doll's houses.

This particular sculpt doesn't grab me so I wouldn't pay anything for it! I'd pay more for the cradle than the doll, because the cradle appeals to me.

I guess that's what it all comes down to - how much someone wants it!

Holy Moses - if you read the post, the eBay template for this baby had been stolen not once but more times by fraudulent persons!!! That price is out of proportions, I think!!!
