Hello ladies ^^
I have finally gotten round to taking pics of my tutorial on how to make a BJD... Now I don't mean I drew this I mean I found it in one of my Gothic and Lolita Bibles and thought that you might be interested too... I haven't translated it yes... forgive me I have three Japanese books to do for friends first and then I can get round to this but I think you can tell what they do from the pics anyway.
Also the batteries on my camera died so I didn't get the last page which was about adding eyelashes but that process is exactly the same as it is on reborns so I don't think the last page it important anyway ^^

Here we go:-

Well if someone can sculpt one, I could mould and pour them in resin!!!!! dollchitchat/pompomgirl.gif

I think Simon is the man for the job Susi..
He is used to sculpting on a small scale..
We should talk!

Well Simon already does have the skills ^^
I was thinking about giving it ago myself I wanted to try and sculpt a doll for a long time now and these are where my interests lie so I was thinking about it. But I can't paint and I defiantly can't sculpt so I think I'll leave it to the professionals.

For simon:- There are a lot of people from Europe and America who are having a go at making these dolls, there is one America lady who is actually making them and selling them although I don't know her url she hasn't posted it yet ^^;
So these people have already asked the question: Will you (the BJD collectors) buy a bjd from someone who is Korean or Japanese?
They have very good backing so I think if you did make them they would sell ^^
Go for it I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
The style of the bjd's comes from the Japanese and Korean comics manga for japan and manwah for korea I think it might be a good idea to take a look at soem of that so you can see how they came up with te style for the doll. Good luck ^^

I would love a girl in dark colours(gothic style clothing) with a giesha looking face(white base with eye make up as shown in the pic and cherry red lips and lot of blush).....that would be excellent!!! dollchitchat/141.gif

Kaye Wiggs makes BJD's as well, and she is from Australia. She has no problem selling them and makes them in limited editions of ten. The resin, however, can be toxic - some moreso than others. dollchitchat/sgirlpinkhut.gif
