Hi just a little update , well we are still none the wiser really , spent a large proportion of the day at the hospital hanging around but didn't see a dr at all , the nurses weren't very forthcoming with info either

He is no worse i'd say but needed morphine earlier to help with the pain , he hasn't been able to eat anything either , I am just hoping that with tommorrow being monday they will be back onto full staff and something will actually get done , if it's his appendix then I don't see how they can let him go home when last night they were all set for taking it out ??

I am soooooooooo tired and stressed out , luckily all the kids are in school tommorrow so i'm going to be able to spend time at the hospital in the day .

Fingers crossed we'll know more tommorrow anyway , i'll update when I can .

I hope by all my heart that tomorrow will enlighten the whole situation, and you will get to know whether an operation is required or not or what else to do - it is so nerve-wrecking to wait and wait and see nothing is being done this lazy Sunday!!! Sending all my loving thoughts to you and your husband, my dear friend!!!!

I hope the doctors will be able to tell you more tomorrow, and they can start trating him for it.
It is a worrie for you, not knowing, sometimes I think the nuses don't understand your worries.

I hope they get onto this as fast as possible and your hubby can start recovering rather than endure pain.

Welcome to the NHS

Another way of looking at it, is that if they were seriously concerned they would do something over the weekend - they wouldn't leave you until Monday if your appendix was about to burst for example. Often it's a case of wait and see, if the pain moves, where it moves to, does it improve at all.... etc

I feel sorry for some of the nurses etc as shifts are long and pay is peanuts.They do work hard.I am sure they were just keeping hubby on observation for a while to asess what to do.Its worse to have an operation when one is not needed than it it is to sit it out and see what happens.Ive had the same thing myself with my Apendix and was in hospital for two days before they sent me home.I had rumbling apendix and it calmed down.I was so glad i didnt have to have an opetaion in the end.

I hope today brings better news for you and your DH Catherine,and that he is soon on the mend
