I too hope that you get your refund soon....I also think that this is one time when a name & shame policy would help other people...it seems that since she aproached you, there is the possibility that she would do this again with someone else who is unaware of her methods

So sorry this has happened to you Tina. Whoever you are, give Tina her money back!!!
First of all thank you all for your kind words and support. Again those who have one on order, please do not worry, I am on top of it you WILL GET YOUR BABY and she will be perfect!! :)
I do have an update, the lady mailed me to say how surprised she was I opened a PP dispute... well I had to, I had to somehow protect myself and time was running out, I only had 3 more days left to file...
She promised to refund me tomorrow... we will see.
I really do not think she is a bad person as I've said and I really DO think her hand is genuine... it's just that the way she handled everything was bad and unprofessional.
In the very least she caused me a) two months of delay minimum and b) because of this delay I am getting to all my customers amazing custom OOAK clothing so that costs too so any way you look at it, I lose money... the silicone is very expensive and the profit margin in the dolls wasn't too big to begin with so... but as I've said I won't hung a customer. It looks like with the edition I will come out about even in the end... so next time I will know and go straight to Susi lol :)
I am sure you will all love Susi's work, she is truly a professional!!

You post just caught my eye as I was modding Tina and I just had to chuckle to myself slightly. Not in a mean way at all let me explaine.
I can actually 100% understand your situation although mine is un-doll related.
I comission someone to make me a web-site for my business, he was young and new but I thought I would give him a shot to help him get a foot in the door as it were. Everything started off great he worked hard and we had a great relationship and then one day nothing, and for about a month I kept trying to get hold of him e-mails and phone calls, the mails were never answered and his phone was always off.
Eventually I had to go to someone higher then both of us to get him to talk to me, we have communication now but I am still with out a site and still without my money and all he does is complain and buy time.
It's very fustrating because like you I am out of pocket and he is being completely unprofessional and childish about the situation. I can't move my business forward and expand because all my money for a web-site I set aside he has and the rest is spread thin enough with ebay and paypal fees and stock.
Now I am going to have to go through the courts and it might end up costing me a lot more money then what he owes me, so I'm sitting here wondering if it will actually be worth it and what to do if it's not, I can't just let him get away with my money but I can't afford not to get it back either.
I also find myself completely unable to do anything I enjoy right now, I can't tell you when was the last time I played with my BJD's which I love so much, it is another reason why I haven't been posting on the forum I just can't see to do anything at the moment. I am so stressed with the situation I'm in it seems that all life has been sucked from me but some how I managed to muddle through. And I can't even remember the last time I actually had a good night sleep without just lying there thinking or waking constanly.
So I completely understand your situation and I truly feel for you I'm completely stressed, and I'm sure you are also at your witsend. I hope for both of us that these situations work out so we can get back to normal.
I don't think your post shows badly on your character I think it just shows that you are at a loss of what to do next. You have done everything you can think of and haven't gotten any joy and you are jut looking for someone to advice you on how to get your money back. Unfortunaly I can't help you as it sounds like an intercontinental problem, all I can do is over you my sympathy and my hope that you will recieve your money back soon.

It's bad being scammed or conned, but don't let it make you lose your trust in other people: there are more good ones out there than bad, although it's hard to see it that way sometimes!
