I don't use DHL or UPS for shipments in Japan - they are expensive and their service is crap. Surprisingly, the regular post office is the best way to receive packages. Perhaps the same is true in Switzerland.

i have spent this morning talking to a very concerned and helpful young american gent (paypal) through tears as this is really getting to me now , sorry but have to cut short, he is going to email her and assures me that i have done my best in the transaction and that she needs to be patient regarding the customs, sorry need to go now, thanks for your support girls xxx

you went about it the right way. at least all the people that need to know about it do. whatever happens from here , it is NOT your fault and you did all you could to rectify it.

I wouldnt worry. If nothing happens within 30 days you can file a claim and get her money back for her....otherwise....she can wait!

I hope you get it soted out Marie. Its so disappointing when buyers act like this. I know that some sellers can be a nightmare but I think you can always work out the ones who are genuine and those who mess you about. I have had similar issues before with some buyers where no matter what you do for them they are never satisfied. I have found its more so since sellers cannot now leave negative feedback on ebay, some buyers are really trying it on. Its obvious you have more than gone out of your way to sort out this situation which at the end of the day is not your fault. Your buyer would be extremely ungrateful if they left you negative feedback because of this. I have always used Interparcel and now use DHL thru them and on the whole have found them good. Customs is another ball game and as youve said youve done all you can. I hope it gets resolved soon.

So sorry for you Marie, this shouldn't have happened to you but I am afraid thats life for you. As my dear old mum used to say (sadly departed) "the baddies always seem to win". Keep your chin up and don't let it get you down for too long.

She must be able to see you're busting a gut to try and get it sorted dollchitchat/stick.gif

If she leaves you a negative ( personally I don't think she will) you just put a reply explaining all.

I always read the replies to negatives and nine times out of ten the buyer has been unfair.

Ebay should police these matters more efficiently dollchitchat/stick.gif
