It has come to my notice recently that there have been several abuses of the layaway facility that has been kindly offered by sellers here on the forum. So I figured it's time for a reminder and a few ground rules.
Sellers offer a layaway out of the kindness of their hearts to allow people to afford the doll of their dreams, there is nothing in it for them apart from making the buyer happy. Often people are selling a doll because they need the money so to abuse their generosity is grossly unfair.
Remember when you start a layaway with a seller you are entering into a contract, so you should stick to the arrangements made, send payments in a regular and timely manner and sent the correct amount agreed for the doll. If you cannot afford payments on a doll DON'T start a layaway.
Of course 99.9% of buyers complete their layaways without a problem, this is not aimed at them.
