Hiya well My caitlin started school today dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07628.gif she is doing afternoons this week , she was so excited bless her she would hardly stand still to get dressed lol , we popped to see my mum at work in the bakehouse so she could show her her uniform on the way and nana gave her a gingerbread man for after school which she was pleased about

She went straight in and sat on the carpet there was only 8 of them in this afternoon so nice and quiet afternoon to get used to things and she gave me a hug and kiss and was fine and I left her happily chatting ..

I was fine until I bumped into a friend and she asked me was I alright ( I was doing the biting lip blinking eyes trying not to blart look dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07628.gif ) and that was it I was in floods dollchitchat/smiley_tantrum.gif
She gave me a hug and I nearly set her off even though her son doesn't start until next year but he's her last too .

I've just walked home in the rain blarting all the way and am feeling sorry for myself but I hope she is having a nice time and me and hubby are both going to collect her this afternoon , I know i'll get used to it it's just really hard dollchitchat/smiley_tantrum.gif

I think I might need a new dolly baby to cheer myself up dollchitchat/bigthink.gif

here is a picture of her in her uniform just before we left..

she looks so pleased doesn't she dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07635.gif

aw hun I really feel for you I DO!
it doesn't get any easier!
my two are 18 and 16 and have both left school/college
oldest is off to work (first day is just like first at school, I feel sick with worry all day)
and youngest has had her college induction (tuesday - 4 hrs - longest of life)
she texted me to say "help- they all know each other, Its really awful"
I fretted and fretted, than she skiped home happily.
don't you just go through the ringger?
it's the end of an era isn't it?
you so want them to do well, but can't help missing the being "needed and important".
Big Hug
X Angela

I remember i was more heartbroken when my kids first started school and ran right into the classroom like i never even existed. !!!! dollchitchat/2.gif
My son started back at collage on Monday,my two younger sons start back tomorrow and my three eldest go back next Monday. It still gets to me when i have to come home to an empty house even though i am glad of a bit of "me" time. dollchitchat/ange4.gif

I was fine when my youngest started school as she was so excited and I was childminding a baby, so could still enjoy being at home with a baby and socialising with my friends with babies. But I was very teary when my eldest went up to big school!! I'll be really dollchitchat/smiley_tantrum.gif when my youngest starts big school as I like having kids at our primary school. I just want my kids to stay little, but they are growing up so fast!! My son only has 2 more years of primary school - it has gone sooo quickly -my youngest is doing her SATS this year and she is still only little! She has all her baby teeth still so it odesn't seem right she should be worrying about exams - which she is, fopr some reason - she doesn't want to go into year 2 because of the SATS! dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07628.gif

I remember it so well.....x It is hard but your little one looks so very happy in her uniform and shows you're doing a great job when she's looking forward to going....you'll soon be wondering where the time goes as you find things to do with your 'spare time'... dollchitchat/dccy.png
