Poor little mite - abandoned on the park bench with just her suitcase



Where's your mummy ?

I have no mummy.................. and no daddy .... I'm waiting her cos I hope to find someone who will look after me

What's in your suitcase ?

And as she opens up her suitcase - packed inside is her whole life - the tatty hand me down dresses - her mum's old wedding dress - a book that belonged to her Granny - together with an old string of pearls , and a card from her sister - but she shows me with pride all her possessions - a little bear's life packed up in an old leather case !!









Come along little Annie - up you get - you are coming home with me

She jumps down off the bench and starts to walk towards me



Then a little tentatively she takes hold of my hand



Now you have a new, mum and a new family to love you

and off we went !!




I couldn't believe it when I came across her at our local boot sale she is "Orphan Annie" from the Bears of Grace "Out of the Attic" collection - ans she is home to stay !!

She's gorgeous, and makes a lovely sister for my bear from Bears of Grace. I can't believe you found her at a boot sale?? I never find anything like her Unless you are joking about finding her at a boot sale

Thanks Kathryn - No I am not kidding - she was at our local boot sale - I saw the case come out of the back of the car and recognised the tag ( I have two other Bears of Grace bears ) - so I swooped down on the case and held on for dear life We get a lot of dealers at our boot sale - and there was no way I was going to let one of them get her !!

Mind you at least she isn't that big - Mum came home on Sunday with an Emmaljunga pram !!!

Sue I think you have made everyone want to adopt orphan Annie with your wonderful pictures and lovely story. I love Annie, well done on finding such a great bear. I went to a car boot with two of my grandchildren on Sunday and came back with a load of toys to litter my house up even more . Kept them happy for five minutes though.

Awwww I love that little story - it actually put a tear in my eye - so sweet sitting there on her suitcase with a story of a lifetime in it all waiting for her mum - and she did not wait in vain as she got the swee-*test*-('") and lovliest mummy on the Earth, you!!!!!
