Both my children make me happy, but my son really surprised me last week at the Kelham doll show. As you know my hubby still cant drive after his recent heart surgery so as Kelham aproached I asked for a volenteer to drive me, neither of my kids really wanted the job as dolls arnt their thing but in the end my son reluctently said he would take me. Now he is 25 yrs old 6ft 3in and very macho wouldnt be seen dead holding a doll so I thought maybe my day would not run smooth as he would want to rush me straight in and out. Well I couldnt have been more wrong he was amazing, he made my day wonderful he showed a genuine interest in the baby dolls and when the pain in my spine got too much for me he took my new baby from me and carried him around the halls. He gave me a wonderful day out that I will remember forever and I couldnt thank him enough. He seemed very interested in the size of some of the dolls as he is expecting his first child ( a girl ) in June I think hes a little scared how small some babies are. I just thought I would share that with you all. I think I will bring him along to the next doll show instead of my hubby as all he does is moan all day or sit in the car and read his paper. xxxxxx

hi gail ,firstly i must say when i first saw that big strapping handsom lad of yours i thought oh oh he,s never going to walk around the show without getting a little embarrised ,but i was so surprised he was a total gentleman and so caring towards his mum ,he gave up his seat for me and went and got coffee,s and then when you were in pain i noticed him take your baby and your arm and helped you walk through the crowds,not one bit embarrised ,i think he enjoyed the show , and i actually said to brian ,you can tell he loves his mum ,not like my son who probably wouldnt even help me let alone carry a baby doll for me ,this is for alexander it was lovely meeting you ,you are a credit to your mum lol magsbk

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments, yes I had a day to remember and spending it with my son just put the icing on the cake as he is a busy man and gave up his day for me.

Mags Thank you for that, yes he is very considerate usually and he is very protective of me, but I really thought he would rush me around so he could get home so I was very surprised he really enjoyed his day out. Bless him hes comming over tomorrow to strip the bed and put the cleaner on for me. They have both looked after us very well whilst Philip has been ill and I really do apreciate it. Im sure your son loves you very much too, you are a lovely person and so is your hubby perhaps hes just embarresed about showing it. Looking forward to seeing you both again at Peterborough. XXX
