It's ages since I've shared any of my mini building projects with you and seeing as I'm going through a 'phase' of 'dollshousering' at present I thought I'd show you what I've been up to....
I've been 'revamping' various bits in my Victorian house one of which is the hallway. Here are some pictures. I embroidered the staircarpet and made the stair rods out of miniature brass rod. See the door at the back of the hall which gives the illusion that it is leading off to the basement kitchen...DH helped me with all the tiny spindles, newel posts and handrail as I needed two pairs of hands it was so fiddly!

Thankyou so much everyone...I've tried to keep things as authentic as I can so I'm glad you all think it looks 'real'. I have enjoyed doing it. The staircarpet took me a long time to do but it's very therapeutic and I've spent many a happy afternoon in the conservatory and in the caravan on holiday doing that. Karen the hall flooring is made of a 'tile sheet' to represent the encaustic tiles often seen in hallways in the Victorian era. I have done more carpets in other rooms in the house though too. I'm working on one at the moment also. Thanks again girls..x
