Minnie's World- 06-22-2008
Hi Ladies!

Ok, OK this is my very FIRST BJD and I love him to bits! Where can I buy a new Wig for him please?

He's a 70cm Model Doll, Dollzone Yuu - I have been going around in circles and the more I read and look, the more confused I am.

Where is the best place to buy a wig from? I expect the answer lies in the Internet but I really need help and guidance please.

I have been a Himmie collector up till now and I so want my boy to have the best as he's stunning!

I have measured his head and it's 24cms and I want real-ish hair not fur if I can get it.

Really love this guy and I need to get him sorted so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Abientot!

Minnie, I've pm'd you.

What is his head size in inches?? Wigs are either 7-8, 8-9 etc so you need to establish his head measurement first then search on ebay and online. I've just checked on another forum and he wears size 9-10 wig and some 8-9 wigs which stretch can fit too if that helps dollchitchat/bearthrowingkisses.gif

Here's some http://stores.ebay.com/DollsSinging_heisej...3QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Congratulations, Minnie! Welcome to the wonderful world of BJD's!

I looked him up and his head is 9 1/2 inches, which means he will need a size 9/10 wig. There are SO many places to get wigs. A good start is on ebay. Look in the doll category under "Dollfies." Type in "wig 9/10." There will be a variety. Also www.jpopdolls.net has a great selection. Of course, you can always go directly to the BJD websites, but you will spend a ton for shipping costs. It's better to buy one from someone in your country unless you can get in on a group order from one of the BJD doll forums.

This ebay seller has some nice ones that would fit him...

Good luck to you and I'm looking forward to seeing your new guy!

Also www.jpopdolls.net has a great selection.

Hi Minnie and congrats on getting Yuu, he is wonderful, I've drooled over his pics many times. dollchitchat/vdaybouncies3.gif

Mary gave you Jpopdolls website there. She also sells on ebay and her username is designersndolls03

I've bought from her twice and found her great to deal with. She has a wonderful selection of wigs, and I particularly like her own brand ones which are made from synthetic mohair and are so gorgeous and soft. Breffni's lovely red wig is Jpops own Kana Firefly. It's size 8-9 and fits Breff perfectly, which is great as some 8-9 wigs can be tight on her - she has a huge head.

She charges $6 shipping from US to Ireland, which is not bad at all. I'm sure there's a shipping discount for multiple items. She also sells the Monique Gold Collection, which are synthetic mohair as well.

Listen to me giving BJD advice - not so long ago I was clueless dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07621.gif
