Well the council men arrived this morning so me the dogs and Molly have been out all day, just got in, we are shattered. Why No Loo I hear you ask, well we are having a Wet Room finally installed in our bathroom. and they left us with a comode till Wednesday. So guess where I'll be tomorrow as well. back to Christchurch Mansion. we do have the waste pipe though Tomorrow they lay the concrete, Wednesday they put a new loo in. The bathroom won't be finished for two weeks. But it will be so much better when it is.
so please ladies I need loads of

Its a pain, but worth it in the long run...my parents had a wet room fitted earlier this year & its wonderful, im so envious of it

Oh i love wetrooms.My parents are going to have one fitted soon too.

I remember when i had my bathroom suite changed and we had no loo for two days. !!!! The council told us there was a porta cabin at the top of the road where we could go to the loo but it got locked at 6pm when they finished work. !!!! It was a complete nightmare. !!!!

I hope it all goes well with your wet room and i insist on seeing some pics when its all done.Good luck. xx

OMG, it is horrible to be without a loo even for two days - feel so sorry for you, my dear friend!!!!!

Karen I see that snigger on the end, you know what will cheer me up is fostering your Cherish for the two weeks, but it will probably take tha long for her to get here.

Liz that must have been aweful, especially with the kids to. How ever did you manage.

we at least have the potty, and buckets of water.

We also found out why we have water coming through the hall carpet. seems the stock cock has been leaking, no wonder our water bill was through the roof.

It'll no doubt be well worth it in the end!

It'll all be worth it when you have your new bathroom and at least you DON'T have rising damp......see about a refund on your water bill as well.......a leaky stopcock isn't down to you

Well they were supposed to have fixed the stock cock but the water is still rising in the bathroom, hubby just looked at the stock cock and it's still leaking I hope they put a new cock in.

Seriously though, it'll soon be just a distant memory (the leak that is, not the....yes, well...)

I have a few pics of before and one tken this morning. still no loo yet and the loo hasn't been put in as they hoped it would today. The floor still hasn't dried and they have plugged a humidifyer in to help dry the new floor. so off to the pics again tonight. will also start a new thred tomorrow evening with th epics of our out and about places for the last three days. no idea where we are going tomorrow.

we've had no bathroom for 2 months now!! and its driving me mad luckily we've got a downstairs loo and shower though, but its a long walk several times a night we also have no kitchen ceiling so everytime work gets done in the bathroom the kitchen fills with brick dust Does anyone know a reliable plumber - do they exist!!
