ok i feel a right TWIT i received my beautiful elegant dollmore eve just over an hour ago and thats were it went wrong i wanted to change her ears and saw there was a ridge where you opened the head so i did eeeek i couldn`t get it back on and there was a spaghetti of elastic that kept popping out and an hour later i just managed to get it back phew !!!! i was so hot and bothered and in the panic pulled her left eyelashes out i just kept thinking oh noooo i have broken her (may i add all of this horrible hour my teenagers were on the floor laughing at me ) so is this how you replace ears and eyes if it is my poor eve will stay the same bless her as i dont think i could cope with that again good job i love her this way and also can anyone tell me where i can buy eyelashes from thanks in advance OMG i need a stiff drink

No worries. You can attach new lashes and the top part of the head does indeed come off. An elastic actually hooks into the "head cap" and attaches to the usually metal ring. This is so the head cap remains where it should unless it is removed. You will need to do this when you replace the eyelashes as you will need to remove the eyes.

As for the eyelashes you can get the exact same lashes direct from Dollmore. The problem is that I don't know what kind of eyelashes your doll has and when I checked the site there are 74 different kinds. My advice would be to purchase a set and replace both lashes so that they match.

thanks Shawnah wow i am shocked at how difficult it was to get the head back on but maybe i made it worse as i didnt know if it was supposed to come off, so now i know that the resin can take the pressure i will be a bit less worried lol

Don't let your kids bother you. It's good to take the headcap off and put it back on. Usually, it needs to slip back into place so it can't be forced. It needs to be manipulated.

This post did make me laugh! I agree, the first time I handled a bjd I flipped out, as her head popped off along with the wig and her arm kept doing a nazi-like salute! It gets easier the more you handle them, and also they aren't as breakable as they first seem.

Aww Hun, I shouldn't laugh but that's a great picture you described. Her head is actually quite hard to put back on, I always had to get DH to do it. Out of all the ones I have hers was the one I struggled with.
It's great if you persevere as she looks great with all the different ears.
