Hi thanks so much for all you messages again you are wonderful friends dollchitchat/bearthrowingkisses.gif

Unfortunately he has got worse this evening and is now having an operation in the morning to remove his appendix , I am woried sick as my dad had an operation last year and got MRSA so have that preying on my mind .

My hubby is in good spirits though and seems more bothered about missing the first singapore grand prix lol , he is putting on a brave face for me though .

I have told the older children and they were quite upset , the youngest doesn't Know as she is only 4 and won't understand I don't think .

Tomorrow morning my mum is coming to look after the kids and dad is taking me to the hospital to wait while he has the op and so I can be there when he comes round , it will be a key hole op so hopefully not a long stay in hospital , we are lucky we have good friends who have rallied round and will take the children to school for me and run me round if needed .

I will let you know how we get on when I am home tommorrow but it probably won't be until late afternoon , thanks again .

my son had his appendix out not long ago and he was fine. I work in a hospital, not clinical staff, but I read the daily ebulliten and ours was terrible about 5 years ago in the bottom 3 but now it's going for foundation status. They've done a lot everyway to tackle MRSA and he's a young normally fit man it's more older vunerable people who are in the most danger. He'll be fine I'm sure wish him well. dollchitchat/dccg.png

Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery for your husband.
And sending you lots of love and support. Hope he does not act like a typical man in his recovery and behaves himself. I know a few male members of my family who are hopeless even with just a cold..you would think it was the worst ailment you could get
Now here is some patience dust for you, you made very well need it

Sending my love and best wishes for a quick recovery for your husband - keyhole surgery sounds much better to the full op I had 23 years ago, I'm sure he'll be fine.

When I was nursing I found that men were braver than women when it came to 'real' pain - they were quite stoical and not want to embarrass themselves by complaining too much - so even though he is a pain with a cold, as men are, hopefully he will be fine when it comes to his operation dollchitchat/bearthrowingkisses.gif

Personally I would tell your 4 year old that Daddy has had a little operation to make him better as he had a poorly tummy, they are more resilient than we think!!

hi thanks all , well i am in bit of a palaver as he stil hasn't had the op yet , I was set to go in early but he rang from his bedside phone just after 8 to say the dr had been again this morning and seeing as he wasn't much worse wanted to observe him and see what happs ?? i am inclined to think they just don't want to operate unless an absolute emergency on a sunday ??

So am going into see him later on and hopefully find out whats going on then .
