I have to agree that 2005 is so special...every doll was a stand out. even the ones with double sculpts (like Mapi and pinni, also Mugi and Yufang, kimi and Moana, etc) are so differnt and unique on their own that I think alot of us would own one of each if cash was no object. Although much has come a long way since 2005......paitning, joints, etc......the 2005 collection is still holding its own and has wide MASS APPEAL!

For me, 2008 and 2005 are tied in first (2008 was cool with three releases and three seperate visions/themes....but sculpt wise I think 2005 is still the best)

I am thinking that maybe 2009 with karneval around the world may come close to 2005 also....hmmmm.....yet to be seen!

2007. I love many from 2007, I have Eddie and Tetti with Lihle on layaway.
I just ordered one from 2008 Bellis. This year would be my second favorite.

I lots of the 2007 dolls & to be honest I knew nothing about Himmies before last year...so apart from maybe Lunna & Lilly (whom I received in a swap) I have paid little attention to any of those older than 2007

I cant comment on the 2008 collection, since I have purposely avoided looking at them...that way I wont suffer from the I WANT's

Very interesting question - I have dolls from all my favorite years - 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. But, I would have bought all the 2007 dolls had I had enough money and space for them! I thought for sure my vote for 2007 would be in the minority - so I am very happy and interested to see there are others thinking it is their favorite year as well!

I still love the '06 no gold gang!

I love their fantasy outfits and the big sizes, also the beautiful faces of Aleta, Askari, Milani, Nuala, Rinike, Tamina and Tula. The other '06 are beautiful also,
but they didn't speak to me as the dolls I purchased.
I can't see any green dots on my dolls, but if they develop later then I'm still keeping my sweethearts! ]

I have always liked ethnic dolls. Defnitely 2005

2005 is my favorite year. I have something like 16 of them, with three of them Sidikas and two of them Arapatis. I'd have to count to be sure how many I have, but 16 is a good guess.

I do like 2007 and 2008, too. And though my interest in 2004 has waned somewhat, I still think it was a great doll year for Annette.

Not easy, every year does have some favourites for me. It was a difficult choice but I think that 2005 has the most I love, close followed by 2006.

I started collecting Himstedts in 2006. Actually, it was the Atlantis collection that drew me in and the rest is history. I favor 2006 because it is so whimsical and fairy like.

2005 as it produced my beloved Monja and Ai Lien. These 2 are my forever girls. Great topic. Kim
