We have been left in a similar position with the molders we used...they kept telling us they were almost done with making our molds etc...( the first lot were unuseable...over £800 worth of molds we paid for are in the bin!)
In the end we have picked up the re-sculpted limbs etc...and Simon is making the molds himself...but he has other things he has to do too...so it is a very long process...all the money we have paid out is gone on nothing!!

I am posting this in bold because I don't want you to think I am hiding something:

I did tell Chiara to keep one of each edition as a thank you for doing my edition. I always do this to my pourers as a thank you.
BUT Chiara did NOT do the edition. Instead she poured TWO dolls (from her original e-mail it shows she poured two babies since she says one is a kit and the other one is the painted one), then posted the UN-USABLE molds to me, threw them in a box and shipped them without the hard support shells, with a letter that says her hand is very bad ans she can't pour for me. She tried to pour a head but it just wasn't working.
I can scan her letter if you want. She claims she never used the molds and she just couldn't pour a single doll...

And if really think you did nothing illegal why do everybody need to keep it a secret? BECAUSE YOU KNEW YOU WERE DOING SOMETHING WRONG!!!

Plus apparently your hand was good enough to pour and paint YOUR baby but not the ones I paid for and you KNEW I need desperately for the show???

what a blimmin cheek she has, stealing your babies, what money did she pay you back?? does she think this money pays for the babies, but then she wouldn't say don't show them. this lady has been very decietful.

Unbelievable!! I hope noone will be taken in by this thief and disgrace to the doll world ever again. I hope you can press charges and this matter can be resolved, my heart goes out to you, all the hard work and talent you have, being stolem by someone else

I feel you need to get legal advice IMMEDIATELY. NOW. No waiting for seven days. Be prepared on the 7th day to act and contact the police and/or fraud authorities.

I would never buy a "fake" Kewy baby, Tina. I would only buy direct from you for however much it's worth. I have no use for frauds or fakes - people or merchandise.

Is the doll in the pictures at the top of the post a silicone doll? It looks like a clay OOAK to me? But on the last picture showing the painted hair it looks like I can see the silicone mould mark on the back of the head?
If that is a silicone it looks perfect and I wonder why she would have decided the moulds were no good? Maybe they went wonkie after 2 pours? and she just decided to keep the only good pours she could get from them? If I am not mistaken she can make new silicone moulds from a good silicone pour? I certainly hope that she has not done that. Very confusing and I so sorry to hear this has happened to you and I hope you get it resolved and get your dolls back.
I understand the hours and hours and patience and love you put in these creations and pain since it makes ones hands and arms and neck and back sore and strained to sculpt for hours.
I hope Chiara realizes that the truth will always come out and she shouldn't duplicate an artist's work without their permission. Only honest work will produce good fruit that will help her family in the long run.

it may sound like a mountain to climb but you MUST press charges.
your deal was a baby free in payment AFTER the edition was done to your satisfaction NOT do one Baby and sell on in secret.

Actually she was getting paid royally for each doll. The free baby was GIFT not payment :)

This woman is a criminal. She must be prosecuted. It may not be the first or the last time she behaves this way.

You are so patient and understanding Tina - fair play to you but do make sure she cannot do this sort of thing again.

I'm in shock, I don't know what to say! Why she is trying to make money this way, it could have been so much easier to just finish your order and get paid doll by doll!

How dumb and blonde someone is (excuse using these words!), loosing reputation annd business for just pouring 2 dolls secretly, which means, there still is an intact mold (maybe she has sent you boobos of her first attempt or so?) and she has been able to pour 2 babies and only god knows how many more??? Even keeping them is still stealing, because she did not finish your edition!

I hope your collectors won't buy from her, because they could get into trouble as well with supporting a crime! Of course, she can offer them cheaper as beeing the pourer herself. This is why we artists have to offer them for more, because we have to pay the work, stuff, etc.. of the pourer.

I hope you will do legal action against her! It is not funny anymore, the first story has been bad enough and I thought you have received your money back after all the hassle and delays.

I did get my money back Monica after I posted the first story... and I thanked her, she told me to stay friends etc. And asked me if she can mold the little -*test*-('") head I sent her to mold and make a body for it and sell it ...

Surely she must have known she'd be found out, after the Doll World is quite a small place really.
Tina, I hope you sort this out, your reputation is wonderful, you really don't need substandard dolls doing the rounds purporting to be Tina Kewy Originals because - lets face it - at some point they would get sold on.
