I Hope my child looks back on today
and sees a mum who had time to play,
There will be years for cleaning and cooking,
but children grow up when you're not looking.
So, settle down cobwebs, dust, go to sleep,
I'm cuddling my baby and babies don't keep.
I read this on the noticeboard in hospital outside my room before I went to be induced with Nathaniel, then I saw it again years later and read it out at Charlotte's naming day. I love this poem!
