Bless you girls...I will pass on your well wishes to Simon..
He has managed to keep some toast down..and has had plenty of water and mint tea..so hopefully he is starting to pick up..
He is now watching a DVD in bed...
I have sent a rather firm email to Asda House in Leeds...(its the head office)..
I have had several problems with our local store...
If I don't get a response by tomorrow afternoon I will phone the EHO...
And I myself had food poisoning from there a few years ago..(thats why I have a sandwich there and nothing cooked..)
I am thankful I am a Veggie...or it could have been the pair of us in bed with buckets on our knees!!!!
Thank you again..
Love Annette dollchitchat/AddEmoticons1093.gif

That really sucks, Annette. The last time I had food poisoning I had projectile vomitting - GROSS!!!

I hope Simon makes a quick recovery. dollchitchat/dccy.png

dollchitchat/dccy.png Poor Simon.I hope he gets well soon.

I would deffo report it and make sure some thing gets done.It would be a good idea to call a doctor out to get conformation of whats wrong with him.
I had food poisoning when i was pregnant and i lost the baby through salmonella.!!! Its a terrible thing to have. You would of thought that such a reputable place like Asda would be alot more careful. dollchitchat/stick.gif

Thank you girls...
Simon still isn't that well...I am a little worried about him to be honest..
He spent most of today in the loo...poor love..
He is trying to eat some tinned peaches at the moment...but he says his tummy feels full after one tiny bit...
I wanted to call the doctor last night but he wouldn't let me...you know how men are with doctors dollchitchat/Christo_pull_hair.gif dollchitchat/Christo_pull_hair.gif dollchitchat/Christo_pull_hair.gif
But I have told him if he is no better by the morning I am calling the doctor...
I have not known him to be this poorly in years...he has had flus etc..but this is really nasty..
Looks like another night of no sleep!

dollchitchat/bearhugblinkie1.gif Annette dollchitchat/dccy.png Sounds like he needs the DR, is he still throwing up. the Dr can give him some pills to stop him throwing up. dollchitchat/vdaybouncies3.gif also there is a powder you can get from the chemist not sure if you need a prescription for it, you add it to water and it will help him get better. stops him dehydrating I was prescribed it when I had gastric ...........can't spell the last word. it works wonders. dollchitchat/dccy.png dollchitchat/bearhugblinkie1.gif

Peaches wont do him any good Annette.Try dry toast then when he feels a bit better a little protein.

tixiepixi- 09-13-2008
Hope poor Simon is on the mend...he really needs to have those rehydration sachets if he's losing fluids both ways dollchitchat/AddEmoticons07628.gif poor love!

I was very sick after my general anaesthetic...it's no fun

And you must be very worried Annette...I hope you both feel better soon

Rehydration fluid is just boiled water with a little salt and sugar added to it.If it really tastes that nasty then add a TINY bit of squash to it.
Try a glass of Coke but add a teaspoon of sugar to it and stir till its flat.It works every time.I have 7 kids and when a bug goes round at our house it goes round !!!! Ive always used the coke and sugar on myself and my kids. The extra sugar will give him energy too.
Try dry toast or cream crackers, dry. Then progress to rice and pasta.

I hope he gets better soon. dollchitchat/bearhugblinkie1.gif

Thankfully...he is up and about today!!! dollchitchat/smilie_bauch.gif dollchitchat/smilie_bauch.gif ....he said he feels better...and no more loo visits through the night...
So hopefully its cleared through him..
I tried him on dry toast last night...but he wouldn't eat it..he just wanted peaches!!!...but they stayed down and in...
He is even talking about doing some work today....so he must be feeling better..
He has got colour in his cheeks!...
I got him some' Resolve' from the chemist...as they help with upset tummys(I have had them myself when I have had tummy problems)...and help with re-hydration too...
And thankfully they seem to have worked very well..
Simon is one that won't take pain killers etc..doesn't believe in them..so its hard to get him to take anything..
Thank you girls for your help and advice...its really helped me over the passed few days..
Bless you all dollchitchat/bearhugblinkie1.gif dollchitchat/vdaybouncies3.gif dollchitchat/vdaybouncies3.gif
