ARGH !!!!!!!!! I am sooo annoyed !!

After yet anotherday of spending far too long waiting around all they did for hubby today was take more bloods , no scan and only a vague mention that it may be tommorrow now dollchitchat/Christo_pull_hair.gif dollchitchat/stick.gif dollchitchat/Christo_pull_hair.gif

Do they really think people have nothing better to do than hang around waiting all day and surely they can diagnose if it is definatly his appendix or not , surely it's not that hard !!

I am absolutely shattered and feel run ragged running round after the kids his mother on the phone every half hour asking for news grr and rushing about all over the place trying to be in 3 places at once !

I just hope they decide what is going on tommorrow or i'm going to get really angry ! dollchitchat/stick.gif dollchitchat/stick.gif

dollchitchat/patience.gif dollchitchat/patience.gif dollchitchat/patience.gif I know it's supposed to be for dolls but I think you need some to help you when everything is getting to much to cope with ........hope it sorts itself out soon for you. They have to be sure I guess before they do anything. My son had endoscopys, -*test*-('")s, tablets for years until the last time he overtook paracetomols because he was in agony with a flare up. They kept him because of that and one doctor decided the appendix should come out. They told him it was huge. He'd always been very sick as well though when it really flared up. He used to lie in a hot bath, said it was the only thing that helped.
It's very tiring and stressful especially with little ones doing hospital visits...... take care dollchitchat/bearhugblinkie1.gif

I wish there was something we could do to hlep you Catherine!

Sometimes its the wife that has EVERYTHING to do, the kids, the trips to the Hospital, the relatives think nothing of picking up a phone to ask about hubbys health, why don't they come and HELP YOU? - come to see you in person (that's if they don't live too far away) see if YOU are ok???????

Here's some dollchitchat/patience.gif for you love and hope you don't get too stressed.

Hospitals and doctors make me sick sometimes. I think they can cause more problems. Like you say, I think they assume we have nothing better to do than wait around all day. It makes my blood boil. Hope it gets sorted soon for your own sanity as well as your poor hubby.

dollchitchat/dccy.png Oh Catherine I realy feel for you,but hang on in there I'm sure the hospital will soon come up with a diagnosis.I suppose they have to be certain what the problem is before they commit themselves.I hope it won't be too long now dollchitchat/bearhugblinkie1.gif

Oh Catherine, I know just how you feel and how he feels, I spent 5 days in hospital in August having been admitted with bad chest pain, it took a 10 minute scan for them to release me, they just didn't organise it!!!
Whatever is wrong with your Hubby, I hope they get around to sorting him out soon. Is it any wonder the NHS costs so much when they keep somebody in hospital so long without apparently doing anything much to help?
Hang on in there, he'll be fine.
Hugs
Carol

dollchitchat/dccy.png I'm sure you'll find out more once the scan has been done: my MIL was in the same boat recently, and they were so slow with the scan that they sent her home and are going to call her back!! The reason? - because she was in over the week-end!! You can book a holiday, buy a car and kit the kids out for school on a Sunday, but get a scan?? Oh noooo....makes my blood boil!
Anyway, I'm sure once you've got through the 'protocols' you'll get seen by the top people, THEN things will move and they'll know exactly what to do for poor hubby. Might be an idea to ask to see his notes to see what's definitely been ruled out, too - just a thought...

Oh I do feel for your hubby and yourself!

I havent been around for a while, and this is the reason.

In June, just after the Peterborough doll show, I was taken ill with stomach pains!

It got bad so I went to hospital thinking they would just give me something for wind!!

Nope! they kept me in, saying I would need a scan. I was admitted early hours of Sunday morning, given morphine for pain and put on a ward!

THURSDAY! I got a scan! It turned out to be my apendix. They just put me on some strong IV antibiotics and was kept in till the following Friday at 10pm for my final dose! So I had been in nearly two weeks. I still wasnt well when they sent me home, spiking temperatures ect..

By Sunday lunch time hubby said enough was enough and he took me back to hospital where they admitted me straight away. I had an x-ray and by the time I got back to my bed, the docs were there getting me ready for theatre. My apenidx had now burst! They operated on me and left me with a nice big 8 inch scar! just below my belly button to the side, not even in the normal place! It was so big because they had to wash out my abdominal cavity because of the poison!

I had to stay in and was given morphine whenever I wanted it! I was so ill! Then a week after my op, my scar burst! They had to put a bag on to collect the infection that was coming out and I was left with an open wound.

After nearly four weeks in hospital I was dishcharged home. A nurse came round everyday to change my bag which I had on for another month! Once the infection calmed down they packed the open wound so it would heal from the inside out, not nice!

I was finally dishcarged from the nurse at the beginning of September, but still under the hospital now.

All this time my hubby had to look after my 3 children and was only able to do this with the help of my mum, as there was no way my hubby could have so much time off work! When I was first in, I said to the hospital, I cant just sit here waiting forever! I have three children to look after! But it didnt bother them one bit!

I know its not a nice story but seriously I was VERY sick!

PLEASE do pester the doctors to get him sorted! Do keep on becuase if it is his apendix and it does burst it is very dangerous.

I really hope he is sorted soon x

OMG claire I can't believe they left you until you were so ill , i'm pleased to hear that your getting better now dollchitchat/bearthrowingkisses.gif
