I wonder of the Mr. Clean (or whatever they are called) erasers would take the edge off the shine? We use them on vinyl dolls to 'erase' rubs and smudges.
I am not a fan of shiny either- at least on my dolls :B It distracts from the realism to me.
I have resin BJD and I use the Volks matte spray for them. LOVE it! Makes the skin looks velvety real, soo pretty! I have sprayed some of my vinyls too when enhancing them. I don;t remove the eyes etc- i just block it with paper and tape . I would have to spray that shiny smiling angel :)))
Boy they are fun to look at!

My only resin I had was Robersons Seeing The World...he was so OOAK like, and totally not shiney at all...he was almost textured with soft skin like texture(sounds weird, but I was suprised).
Wish they all were like him!

I have two "less expensive" resin babies, and boy, are they heavy! One has a lot of shine, and the other isn't too bad. I tend to agree that shininess takes away from the realism of a doll. If there's something that can be done safely to them to remove the shine, I'd like to know. :)

You girls have some gorgeous resin babies. :) dollchitchat/141.gif
