OK not much of a story line here as was just trying to get some good pics at the local Japanese Gardens. DD Took me as a special treat. She brought her doll and borrowed DH's camera and I used mine which is okay but at times so miss the old SLR I had. Anyway out of say 50 pics I took 12 were blurry, 10 didn't focus on her but behind her. And 3-6 were due to my unsteady hand.

So here it goes.


Tohru: Well here I am at the Japanese Gardens also called Anderson Gardens. Momma says this place has been a wonderful memory for the family as big brother James proposed to Tineke here. Big sister Christina brought Momma and me here today so I could formally meet one of her girls.


Tohru: So when do I get to meet this girl?
Me: I want to take pics of you as does Christina of her Rei. Then when we find a spot you two will meet.


Tohru: Is this a good Place?
Me: Yes Just give Christina a second.


Me: Tohru, this is Rei. Rei meet Tohru.
Tohru: It's a pleasure to meet you Rei your dress is so pretty.
Rei: Thank you Tohru. It's nice to finally meet you. To be honest I have to wear what ever she puts on me.
Tohru: Same here apparently this is a school girl outfit like in Japan. I know we are not in Japan. Who do they think they are fooling here?
Me: Ok you two that's enough. This place is only open for so long and we have a lot of ground to cover.
Tohru: Ok OK can't two girls just talk.


Tohru: What is this?
Me: I am not sure, ask James when he visits next time.


Tohru: Oh this is a nice tree, can we get one of these?
Me: Don't know ask Ken when we get home.


Tohru: Do we have flowers like these?
Me: Now a question I can answer, Yes!
Tohru: What are they called?
Me: Ask Ken when we get home.


Tohru: Why is the pond so dirty looking?
Me: Because of who lives in it.
Tohru: Who lives in the pond. (Worried tone)

Me: Ducks and Koi fish.
Tohru: (Sigh of relief!)


Tohru: These are cute windows. Why can't our house have windows like these.
Me: Because we live in a house that needs four walls, a roof and windows that keep elements out so we stay warm in winter and cool in summer.
Tohru: Oh! I thought it was because they would let bugs in. But that stuff you said makes sense too.


Oh I like this porch. Nice and the right size for me. Can I climb over the side?
Me: No sorry I am lucky I can take your picture here. But yes it would be nice to have a porch that got more shade then sun on it. Maybe we can add a porch to the tree house.
Tohru: Oh that would be nice please make sure it's on the shady side of the tree.
Me: I think I can do that.


Tohru: Are we going to go over that bridge or is it not allowed?
Me: No that one we can cross.
( I had taken pics of Tohru in front of a tiny bridge that of course had a big sign do not cross, and due to my camera that was one of many that did not turn out.)


Tohru: Are we done now! My feet hurt and I want to go home and take a nap.
Me: For someone who was carried most of the time I don't know how your feet can hurt but yes this is the last one and no you can't take your socks and shoes off. That water is for the plants and fish not little girls feet.
Tohru: Darn it I guess she is a mind reader. :|

Thanks as always take the pics first then hope I can make a story from ones that turn out. Love going to Gardens and have plans to take each one of my gang there for pics in special places I rediscovered.

Thnaks Val, the number one reason I got into BJD's is because I could do things like this which I couldn't do with the babies,and the Himsteadts are to big to take places, so these guys are the best of all dolls in small package.

Yeah that is pretty much Tohru in a nutshell always asking what, how, why and so on. Keeps one on their toes.

marie she is a handful, just love her, though she does look a little sulker though. How many did you take with you??? and were you there visiting your DD?? and was the other BJD your DD?? sorry so many questions.
I have't seen BJDs like these, who are they by?? they look a little like Godreau BJDs.

I am looking at the dollstown dolls with interset as they have the sulky look i adore, but dont think there is a young enough looking one for me yet, but maybe one day.....

No DD lives with us here as job for her has never been steady enough to move into own place, but might change come Spring 09.
Since it was such a public place only Tohru also she was only one here as all the others were with artist in OH getting work done. Twins made it special back home to make trip with DH & I in mid Sept.

DD has as of now 5 MSD and a Model Girl, 2 floating heads and for one finally a body, as well as for Christmas she is getting another MSD girl. Only her floating heads are boys as they are Minimees of the 2 brothers from TV Supernatural.

My girl is a Dollstown as are all my BJD now and I love them, they are great posers, and I just love the faces. DT has a great turn around time if you don't ask for face ups or sanding service, I have them take no longer then 30 days from confirmation to actually have in hand. Shor-*test*-('") was 14 days.

You won't regret getting one they are adorable and pose so well. Hugs, Marie

I stated in another post Tohru is now in France. So she can learn to ask questions in 2 languages.
