Hi all,

This is my Tulani that is currently in German customs. None of my other dolls had this happen to them, but I'm going to recheck in a few days. This doll was literally standing next to a sitting Rinike in open air... and this was the only doll this happened to. It's all very strange, but I'll update this thread once Himstedt receives the doll and gets back to me.

Green spots??!!I wonder how and why??????? Your Tulani isn't a gold one,right?So it's impossible that the gold change green.Maybe she accidently got something invisible onto her face when AH was painting her and when time passes,the air or dust or dirt caused chemistry changes?

How peculiar I have never seen anything like this apart from in the Lilli's and Lise's from 2004 from the head piece loosing dye but that is on the outside. It certainly in this case looks like the spots are coming from within you can see others about to erupt. I wonder if it was something in the vinyl mix I have got one doll can't think which at the moment which has a tiny white fleck in the vinyl, which was obviously a particle of the powder that had not dissolved, they use to colour the vinyl the powder is white.
It will be really interesting to see what Himstedt come up with as an explanation for this one.!

I honestly don't know Jessica and Deb. I had this doll out in the open air along with all the others. The others are fine and this one, well, I don't get it. I still don't have a response from Himstedt, but they only received the doll late last week and they have the unveiling and stuff. But I really don't understand this at all.

I sent the doll as I had her - completely original, fully dressed and with the shoes in a seperate bag. I couldn't even undress the doll for repair, because I'm not messing with that outfit.

I'm interested in hearing a response from the factory. I haven't heard one yet, but I hope I will hear from them in the next couple of days.

That is very strange...Haven't a clue what might have caused it, but I hope against hope that this will NOT turn into another fiasco with the Himstedt company...Please let us know what (and when) they reply....

This is the darndest thing!!! I have never seen or heard of this before. Debs is right...you can even see more coming. Like something settled in her chin and is coming out her "pores"...how freaky!

I really don't understand it, but I hope that Himstedt will get back to me in the next few days...

Gosh that is the strangest thing, it looks like maybe something was dropped in the vinyl as it was being poured?????????
I'll bet the factory will be as dumbfounded as you were Shawna, its not been heard of before, really odd!
Let us know what they say i am really curious what caused this.

Well, Claudia said they THINK that they should be able to repair Tulani by the end of the week.

That's wonderful news, Shawnah! Did they have any idea what it was or what possibly caused it?

I'm not sure they actually know quite yet, Mary, but I'm certainly going to ask once they ship her. I don't want them to be annoyed with my questions until AFTER they ship my doll!

Gosh i expected they'd be falling over themselves to give you an explanation, not just say oh well maybe we will fix her at the end of the week!
This implies they are not going to bother explaining what has caused/ may have caused this and really its something we all need to know just incase its something to do with the way the dolls are kept/stored etc or something we could inadvertently cause ourselves, or even something we can prevent from happening!
L mean its great they are fixing her, but a little explanation as to the cause is required as much as the fixing her up!

But yes if you have to ask, wait till she is on the plane back home first

I have been thinking about this quite a bit and as I said before one of mine has a tiny white speck on the face. You know that some people are saying that the 2006 dolls have a slight green tinge to the vinyl I wonder if there could have been miniscule amounts of green colouring used in with the vinyl ? hum well just a thought or else the green Aliens could have tried to get Tulani.

Seriously though it is good that they can repair her - great news.

Maybe she was becoming an alien! Or perhaps she was once abducted!!!

I am not sure if they will be able to have a whole new head ready by the end of the week, but if they do I hope they don't do a crap job of it.
