Hope i am ok to post thought i would share how i make my dolls...

I use Super sculpey clay and a foil head..

i changed the face features you can do this as you go along also dont forget to smooth.
I then added ears and hair then bake in the oven.

I will post photos of the head painted and finshed soon.

yes Avrilm this is how i sculpt mostly this way now and again i will change but find this way much easyer to build up the face. My baby in the siggy photo is my favorate so far she has now been adopted to a lovley new mummy dollchitchat/thumb_msn_emoticon1756.gif

Me too!! My method can't be further away from yours but it is so interesting to see how others make their babies. When I have time I will try to take photos and show you all how I make mine. Just wondering if the different styles are down to the diferent clays we all use. I use cernit so the technique is different because you can't add clay to build up from the front as it does not blend into itself. Sooooooo yes, very interesting!
