DH & I were gone all this past week traveling from our home in Northern ILL up to Upper MI, across Northern WI and into MN. We had great weather and I was lucky enough to be able to take my twins along for pic opts. Which there was plenty of.

At one stop I guess they had been bored of seeing the different lake views, as well as the fact we tend to drive a lot during these trips. over 1300 miles.

So when we found at one stop had this interesting raised deck like area for bathrooms and info. Kyo & Kisa asked if they could play. Anything to help burn off excess energy!


Kyo: So we can play while you and Daddy Ken look at the lake... Again!
Kisa: And we promise we will be careful.
Me: Yes you may and also be considerate of the other visitors here don't get in their way if you see them taking pictures.


Kyo: So I am it to hide or seek?
Kisa: I already started counting so you hide.


Kyo: I wonder if this is a good place?


Kisa: I wonder where he is?


Kyo: I sense a presence.
Kisa: I hear you you know!


After taking turns for over a half hour, they got bored.

Kisa : So now where to?
Kyo: Hopefully someplace with more places to hide better as you stunk!

Kisa: Did not...Take that back!

Me: OK time out and both of you back to car. Next stop...

Great pics and great story - they look like real kids out on a vacation!

They behaved a lot better then our 2 real kids did and unlike poor Linus our little dog who was supposed to come with, were allowed into parks off leash. He wouldn't have been able to come to some parks even on leash due to bears, and also we picked hotels not pet friendly as we wanted King sized beds, not 2 queen and in a smoking room.

Marie these are so cute, what size are they. Looks like you all had a great time. Did your hubby mind you having a play. so where actually did you start from and where did you pass along the way and where did you end up??

I hope after their play tey had a nap for a while leaving you both in peace.

Awww they seem to get along so well! LOVE your twins Marie, and adore the way you dress them too.

Hubby was fine with me taking them along, car trips allow it better then plane ones. We traveled from Rockford, IL to Appleton, WI by way of Madison, then on to Escanaba, MI for the first night. Then up to Manistique, MI to Marquette, MI for the night. Then over to Houghton, MI and then on to Ironwood, MI. We then went to Bayfield, WI and into Duluth, MN. We drove home from Duluth by way of Eau Claire, WI. We drove 1340 miles in 5 days and spent 4 nights in hotels mostly in MI upper MI that is. I did most of the driving and DH about maybe 100 at most as I prefer to drive, controul issues I think.

The twins were well behaved, no are we there yet, no I need to use bathroom or can we eat at Mc Donald's nice and well behaved.

I forgot to add these two are MSD sized but like Volks in that they are thicker.
Also for Cindy we both know bikes won't work for your girl so I am posting for DT more as well as Volks kids these items.

Thanks pants have been a problem so sent Kyo's body to Susan in AZ for measuring for pants for him and soon his new BFF. His head was away anyway so lucky both arrived back in time for trip as well as to be whole again. But nothing from her so lucky the leather pants fit as do Volks shorts. but Dollmore nor Cherry Doll pants work so have had problems there. But shirts are plentiful.

Yes traveling with them is extra special and now one is traveling on own. Tohru is visiting family on her late mother's side in France. She will return in time for Christmas and there is talk her cousin will be coming with her for a visit as well. In the meantime Shigure is getting closer to Hana and there is talk of a wedding come the new year. Stay tuned for all the DT stories from here.
