I agree with the comments about OOAK's having a special uniqueness. and
that they are hand made lovingly by the artist.. I was really feeling
that especially when I heard Ilza Dos Santos passed. It made me treasure
my OOAK Caroline by her all the more.
I also agree with Pam's comments about how devastating and 'soul'
destroying it is when a OOAK breaks.. Personally I don't collect them
for that very reason and prefer the silicones.. One of the first OOAKS
I bought was by a new artist. It was also a newborn baby. So sweet
and delicate and my heart melted whenever I looked at ehr or held
her.. But then after I'd only had her a couple months.. I was holding
her and all of a sudden her head just fell off and hit the floor
and one side of the face was badly cracked and damaged..
I was really traumatic for me. She seemed soo real..Turns out she
had'nt been baked long enough.. the neck was weak.. I've had
problems with a couple others. too either fingers breaking or
whatever... I think they're beautiful.. but not to be handled much.
Which is why I switched to silicones...
Jasmin your OOAK Helland baby is sooo beautiful. She is in a class all her
own.

I only wish I could ever afford one of Eva'S OOAK babies
I still would love someday to own a Sandy Faber OOAK

I love
the fat cheeks and the 'mottled' coloring on the cheeks..
