I am a doll maker; I used to make dolls in the 1980s when it was all porcelain. I am looking at the new materials dolls are made of now. I love silicone but it is so expensive and I would like to know what how collectors feel about resin. I am considering making some dolls in resin. I was going to make minis but what do you like about the life size resin babies?

Great question and good luck with your new medium...... I love the fact they retain so much of the originals details, they are less fragile than an ooak especially with open hands, they dont attract any lint or hair......I think they are great to cuddle

I like resin cos it feels like a ooak but since its not so fragile I am not so scared of breaking them!! The 2 I have are small - preemie size - so not too heavy, just perfect for cuddling!!

Thank you for your input. I am thinking of doing a preemie in resin. Does any of your resin yellow over time. Or does it maintain its baby pink color.
