I am so not looking forward to next Summer now because of it. The Summer before we had a horrid big beetle infestaion whilst we were away on holiday.!

I think the candle is made of beeswax so maybe they were trying it for food.! There was nothing for them to eat thats what i could not understand. As much as I hated them in the house they are fascinating creatures to watch.
Good job they did not get in your pellets after they had been implanted.! You would have had a baby with ants in its pants - for real.!

Oh yes i do think they are fascinating to watch... when i was a kid i would do that and i'd make believe the things they'd be saying to each other when they touched antennnas

and i Hate Bug spray as it irritates me!

Hey perhaps we are neighbours you don't live up the road do you? We are th ones with the noisy dogs.!

We live in a very old cottage with beams so get loaded with spiders too - I can cope with them I have it off to a fine art with my plastic jug.! We get loads of mosies an gnats too in the summer but we are also blessed with a few bats to keep the numbers down. Life in the country..........................

Yuk,looking at these ants in the pictures made my head itchy.Did they came all the way from USA?Not many ants are able to travel so far and by air.
