I have an open eyed kit which I'm waiting for glass eyes to come from Germany. I don't want them spoiled in anyway by paint so with the genesis would it be ok to insert them after the last bake while the vinyl's still warm and pliant. I normally just have sleepers but I really liked one I saw on ebay done in this Marije kit. dollchitchat/AddEmoticons1093.gif

i love those glass eyes, but i wouldn't bake them, so i always put my eyes in after painting with genesis, that was you won't damage the eye at all, and you can paint all the vinyl right up into the eye socket (not all the way in, but the rim at least)

i'd loved to see your marije when your done, i have a kit coming soon too, and i think this may be the one to keep, as i love her beautiful expression dollchitchat/pompomgirl.gif

i always use glass eyes , and they are perfectly safe to bake , but it is easier to keep them clean if you put them in last ( i always insert my eyes from the rear unless using flat backs)

I add mine after baking too, and usually from the back.

I'm presuming they're flatbacks, they're the 'scuse spelling Lauscher ones from puppen. If you have full rounds and put them in from behind how do you secure them?
