I really wanted to know how the news has affected or not affected your buying. I would ask you not to include dolls that you had already ordered or bought before the news, even if you don't have them yet.
It does not matter what years dolls they are as long as they were bought/ordered since we knew the factory will close.

Yes i bought a new himmie my first keeper (hopefully) since 2004 only because i had planned to get her at Christmas but i was worried there would be non left.So i had to buy sooner rather than later.

Well I am afraid I have been a bit naughty and ordered three
Sanrike ~ Setina ~ Milina
I really did not intend buying them quite so soon but because of AH closing down
I decided not to leave it and order them
I am in dollydebt but I am happy with my decision

I am hoping to get one more - on layaway. There are so many I love from 2008 and I wold have waited for next year and bought them on the secondary market but as soon as 2 layaways are paid then I will start one if I am not to late to get one of the 4 or 5 I would like.
I am trying to resist getting 2.

I will have my beautiful Sinami home before christmas. She has been on a long layaway.

And I hope that Toby (whom I and the lady I bought him from , Jessica here on DCC, are both waiting for from Suzanne Roberson) will also be home before christmas.

I'm afraid a Himmie extragavanza will have to wait until I can start saving after christmas pressies are over and done with. There are a couple I would love to bring home (more than a couple actually...) so for once I am glad that they are large and take up so much space; then I absolutely have to limit their numbers. I am grateful, though for my five children I have already. They are well loved

Well, so far I ordered Leleti and Maliwi and both kleines. I was going to order the kleine anyway, but I had no plans to order any other dolls. I'm trying to decide if I can afford 1 more. Don't ya just love those payment plans- Sue

I think I will be paying forever at the rate I have been going.!!!!Mostly to hubby though..........

I bought one (Ajescha) and would like to purchase more.
I will have to wait on any others though....I hope that there are some left when I can order later.

I am very happy to have one doll coming home soon.
I would order a dozen if I could.

Okay Deb, I guess I have to fess up now! I hate to admit this, but since I found out I have ordered 4 new ones from the factory (and I have never bought straight from the factory before-maybe that was the problem LOL). They are Sini, Jinka, Miliana, and Sinchi.

I also bought off of ebay, Lihle, Nella, and Monja. I know you said new ones only but I might as well fess up anyway!! I still would like another Mera and Freeke and Bibi if I can find them without paying a fortune.

I guess I was the one that panicked the most! LOL

Seriously guys, I couldn't stop myself! Luckily my hubby was on board with me since there might not be anymore. (he thinks she will retire and will never be back, I disagree)

I would love to, but deffo no cash and no room really although one more would have been nice. Maybe somewhere down the line once things settle I may get another but not in the foreseeable future

I have not ordered and although things are looking a little brighter financially, I'm not comfortable enough with the economy to purchase a doll at this time since I would need layaway. I want to wait and just feel it out a bit before committing to a purchase. And, I'm not sure if I want another Himstedt. I may just go into BJDs now and enjoy the Himstedt dolls I have. I am very leary of buying a doll that can no longer be sent for repair based on my past experiences.

At the same time, Tscharle and Jinka are tempting me. I'm certainly not made of stone, but thus far I have resisted.
